Anna Wilson (she/her) is a fibre artist, craftivist, community builder, and administrative professional with 12 years of experience working in the Biotech Industry. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wilfred Laurier University, as well as university and college level credits in Human Resources and Basic Accounting from McMaster University and Mohawk College.
Since relocating to St. Joseph Island from Southern Ontario in 2020, Anna enjoys working with and learning from her mother at The Creative Basket, a quilt and yarn shop located in Thessalon. Anna is fascinated by and passionate about the fabric of community that is woven through relationships and the sharing of history through stories, art and music. She sees crafting as a tool to facilitate these conversations, to empower people to light their creative flame and educate our communities about social justice issues.
