Learning, reflecting, adjusting, acting
On June 12 , 2020, Thinking Rock hosted an open online gathering about anti-racist allyship. We asked ourselves and participants to consider the questions:
“What does allyship mean to us? What can showing up for the Black community look like where we live, work and play?“
This conversation was part of our ongoing learning about how we can take meaningful action in solidarity with Black communities within and beyond Algoma; how we can help move our community further toward equity and anti-racism; and how we can embed these principles in all aspects of our organization - from governance, to staffing and to programming.
At this gathering we held space and shared some of the resources we've found helpful with our learning around allyship.
